I purchased this knife about 3 weeks ago and the first time i used it the knife rusted in various places through out the blade and handle. After i was done i used bottled water to clean it and dried it thoroughly.

Now that being said it is disappointing but its a bait knife. its extremely sharp and does what it is intended to do. I do plan to take pictures of it and send them to Buck. -- Ol' Rusty
I do a bit of sailing/fishing and was looking for a knife that wouldn't degrade sitting in that environment. I've had many stainless steel knives discolor or pit sitting around on a boat. This has lasted well do to the titanium coating and been easy to sharpen. I am disappointed with the sheath. The knife clicks in well so you won't lose it yet is not difficult to draw. It also has excellent drainage, important when using it in a wet environment. The main problem as the other reviewer has said is the belt clip. While you won't lose the knife out of the sheath, you could lose the while setup right off your belt because it's just a clip, and not a very tight one. Its not a deal breaker- it doesn't have to be pretty so I have used first duck tape and now an elastic to make the clip a loop. Otherwise instead of drawing the knife, you can pull the sheath right off your belt. -- Nice bargain knife, sheath needs improvement
The knife is sturdy, yet lightweight, and just the right size (not too big or too small). And I prefer knives with a belt clip (as this one has), so you don't have to undo your belt and stick the belt through the typical sheath 'loop'. However, the 'clip' on this Buck knife is poorly designed. It does NOT hold-down the sheath as you pull the knife upwards. Instead, because the sheath clip has almost no gripping surface, the sheath comes off your belt/waistband along with the knife. You have to 'grap-hold' of the sheath to keep it on your belt/waistband as you pull-up on the knife. -- Good knife but don't buy it because it has a belt clip
